From 12th to 19th July 2015, the 7th World Crossbow Shooting Championship was held in Fort Lauderdale, Florida, USA. In which all continents except Antarctica were represented for the first time. It was also a prestigious moment India. The Vij duo has illuminated the name of the country every time on the strength of their talent. So this time India maintained trust on Rajat Vij and sent their biggest team so far 7 contestants to the world championships. There were many types of matches to be played in this championship. Which included a target event, a match play (one on one competition) event and a forest event (walking through a bushland shooting on a paper animal face target). Each competition was classified differently. The contestants were given the opportunity to play based on their age, gender and bow type. This championship was the most important platform for the players to showcase their talent. Various players performed very first time in the World Championship for their country. whose charm was clearly visible on their faces. Everyone had the passion to hoist the flag of their country


 

India had shown its power by defeating Sweden. With 9 gold, 8 silver and 3 bronze medals, India had already won the medal table and without wasting a moment India get 9 gold, 3 silver and 2 bronze medals in their favor. It was such a huge victory for the country. But, disappointment was seen on the faces of the players when the championship was affected due to murky weather and a day’s shooting had to be canceled.Passing this test, the players of India had proved once again that they are no less than anyone and broke all the records. Rajat and Hina Vij’s team (Lovejit Singh, Harpreet Singh, Amritpal Singh, Fatehjeet Singh, Harmanpreet Singh, Puhpreet Kaur) have worked harder to name 18 World Championship Records, 11 World Records, 28 Asian Records India. The result is in front of all of you today. Parvez Joshi achieved great success by playing the role of a judge in the 7th World Crossbow Shooting Championship

A grand welcome of World champions

A historic record was recorded by winning the medal. The Samajwadi Party workers, including the followers of Sikh and Punjabi society, gave a grand welcome to all after the players returned to India after performing brilliantly. Not only this, the players bowed their heads in front of "Wahe Guru" and raised slogans in the rhythm of the famous Gurudwara "Guru Ka Taal" located in Sikandra, Agra. During this, Saint Baba Pritam Singh also awarded the highest honor to 10 members of the team. The former Mayor of Agra Inderjit Arya and SP leader Nitin Kohli extended a warm welcome to the players and left no stone unturned to encourage them. International Crossbow Shooter, Coach and President of Indian Crossbow Shooting Association Rajat Vij and Crossbow World Champion Hina Vij have played a vital role in making Tajnagri's name on the international stage, Vij couple and team's official judge Parvez Joshi made this incredible contribution. Keeping the youth thinking, the goal of the Akhilesh Yadav has always been to make the youth aware. For this, he has not lagged behind in providing new opportunities to the youth in every field. On 17 March 2016, at the Eklavya Stadium in Agra, former Chief Minister Akhilesh Yadav had launched the logo and website of the Indian Crossbow Shooting Association and created a great platform for the youth associated with the sport. International crossbow shooters Rajat and Hina Vij have won the glory of their success in the field of sports. Whose efforts Akhilesh Yadav also praised. During the event, he said that with the launch of the “ICSA” logo and website, the game will get a new identity and will also boost the morale of crossbow shooters. During this time, many sports lovers including former Cabinet Minister and MLA Mr. Raja Aridaman Singh were present in Eklavya Sports Stadium who praised the unique efforts of the winning Vij duo.
After the launch of the official website and logo of the Indian Crossbow Shooting Association, the second Indian Open Crossbow Shooting Championship was organized by the Indian Crossbow Shooting Association at the Ekalavya Sports Stadium. In which more than 16 shooters from all over the world made this program even more interesting and spectacular. Crossbow Shooting Association officials Mrs. Pat Copley and Jeff Copley, along with Vice President of the World Crossbow Shooting Association, Mrs. Pat Copley gracing us with their presence they made the evening memorable. Apart from all these, many eminent personalities from all over the world attended the event which mainly included Mr. João Pedro, Mr. Carlos Manuel, Mr. David Lemos Morgado, Miss Paula Maria, Mr. Pedro Nuno, and Mr. Rui of Portugal Philip. Mr. Rajat Vij and Hina Vij were mainly represented by the Indian team

World Crossbow Champions Visited Taj Mahal

The inaugural program of the Indian Crossbow shooting game was organized in Agra, during which many international shooters participated. It seems impossible to believe that someone should come to Agra and not see the Taj Mahal. Yes, on this occasion, all the international shooters admired the beauty of the Taj Mahal and showed their interest in knowing the history behind it. Also said that the building of unmatched beauty must be seen by everyone once in their life for spiritual peace. On this occasion, Indian Crossbow Shooting President Rajat Vij, World Champion Hina Vij and Chief Patron Nitin Kohli were present with the players who were guiding the players every moment. When the players returned back to the hotel, Sunil Mangrani, MD of the hotel himself gave a warm welcome to the players

4th WCSA 3D World Crossbow Shooting Championship

4th WCSA 3D World Crossbow Shooting Championship

Junior shooters showed magic in Portugal – While representing the Indian team in the crossbow, Rajat Vij have always performed stunning. Along with a best player, Rajat Vij perfectly knows how to take command of the team. Once again as a team leader Rajat Vij represented India with three junior shooters at the 4th WCSA 3D World Crossbow Shooting Championship in Idanha-e-Nova Portugal. 
This championship was held between 13th to 19th July 2016. Parvej Joshi represented India as a judge of this championship. One again Indian players Divij Aggarwal, Urdesh Thakur, Darshan Dutt did not let India bow down and achieved the 4th position. In Portugal, the Indian junior team won two medals, proving that the future of the Indian team of crossbow is safe in the guidance of Rajat Vij

Swedish Open Crossbow Shooting Championship

On 1 September 2014, the Swedish Open Crossbow Shooting Championships were held under the aegis of the World Crossbow Shooting Association (WCSA), organized by World Champion Mickey Scotland and Kent Heid Berg near Gothenburg City Sweden. The Indian team participated in this championship under the guidance of Mr. Rajat Vij, President of the Indian Crossbow Shooting Association and won two medals for India. Mr. Fatehjeet Singh from Punjab won the bronze in the Open Men’s category and Manpreet also won a bronze medal for India. Singh from Punjab won the silver medal for India in the junior category. Apart from this, Atishay Goyal of Uttar Pradesh got 5th rank in the sub-junior category in the history of shooting. Atiyash, who showed his talent at the age of just 13, was also honored with the Swedish gout as India’s youngest crossbow shooter
